Police are investigating a series of carjackings at metro Atlanta gas stations. They believe the same crew is behind crimes in Atlanta, Fulton, and DeKalb counties.

Fulton County Police said a man caught on surveillance video at a south Fulton County Dollar General store is just one of those robbing people of their cars at gas stations.

“Always around midnight, several individuals armed with guns we also believe they may have done some in Atlanta and DeKalb County,” said Fulton County Police Department Lt. Scott McBride.

Lt. Scott McBride said those individuals have had the same M.O. as at least a half dozen carjackings. They arrive at the gas station in one car, leave in two. Police are asking motorists to stay vigilant.

“They'll come up point a gun, take the keys and drive off,” said McBridge. “My advice to any motorist is to cooperate. It’s not worth losing your life over a vehicle.”

Police have identified only one man as a member of this dangerous robbing crew. So far, no one has been injured and they'd like to keep it that way.
