Police: Home invaders demand money from mother at gunpoint

- Smyrna police are on the lookout for three suspects in a home invasion that happened on Monday night.

Police say that the robbery happened at around 9 p.m. on a home in the 5100 block of Inwood Place in Mableton, Georgia.

At that time, officers said a woman and two men forced their way into the home and demanded money at gunpoint.

The homeowner was able to get away with her two children and called police from her neighbor's home.

The incident was caught on camera through the homeowner's Ring Doorbell Camera System, allowing police to give a partial description of the suspects.

Police say the suspects are a light-skinned black woman who identified herself as "Amanda." She had black hair on top which was braided into a ponytail with blonde hair at the bottom. She was wearing a long-sleeved shirt with the word "reckless" on the front.

The two men were both wearing masks. Officials say they are black as well.

They were last seen fleeing the residence in an SUV that was either silver or gray.

Police are asking that anyone with information about the crime to call the Smyrna Police Department at 770-434-6666 or call Crime Stoppers at 404-577-8477.
