Police: Carroll County church latest victim of burglaries

CARROLL COUNTY, Ga. (FOX 5 ATLANTA) - Police said a Carroll County church was the latest church to be hit in burglaries.

Victory Tabernacle Church on Rockmart Road was broken into authorities said. Police said the thieves stole more than $6,000 worth of lawn care equipment.

Across the street from Victory Tabernacle is Fullerville Baptist Church where Villa Rica Police said another burglary happened, this time with catalytic converters.

Officials said churches in the area all have experience car break in during services.

Police encourage churches to not assume that crime will not happen just because it is a church.
