Police: 3-time felon arrested

A three-time convicted felon was arrested on Monday after trying to break into cars, police said.

Police said Rafael Franklin was arrested after he was spotted attempting to break into cars on Walker Street.

Franklin was carrying two identification cards that did not belong to him, a screwdriver, and a gun, officers said.

Police said Franklin had an active warrant for robbery in Fulton County.

The Atlanta Police Department reminds drivers not to leave any valuables in the car and call 911 if anyone suspicious is hanging out in a parking lot.
