Officers surprise young boy at his police-themed birthday party
JEFFERSON, Ga. - A young boy got a fun treat after a pair of officers decided to show up at his birthday party.
The Jefferson Police Department said they heard that young resident Mason was such a big fan of police that he was having a police-themed birthday party.
So between calls, officers Marrero and Anderson dropped into his party to wish him happy birthday.
In the photo the Jefferson Police posted on Facebook, Mason is all smiles while he wears a miniature version of what Marrero and Anderson's uniforms.
Officials say Mason and his friends were able to see the police cars close up.
"Happy Birthday, Mason!! We wish you all the best buddy!" the department said.
