A resident of Milton, Georgia has won an international competition for his piano artistry, and he's only 6 years old.

William Zhang, 6, is the winner of first place at the American Protégé International Piano and String Competition, beating out competitors up to the age of 56 years old from 17 different countries.

Zhang began taking piano lessons at the age of 4 and a half and is training under Georgia Professor Raffi Besalyan. This was his first piano competition.

As the winner of the competition, Zhang will perform at Carnegie Hall at the end of the month.

Outside of playing piano, Zhang loves to read, draw and swim.
