MONROE, Ga. - Fire hoses are most known for putting out fires, but a couple of City of Monroe firefighters put them together to make beautiful artwork.
FOX 5’s Portia Bruner shared an image of the piece on her Facebook page, showing fire hoses artistically fashioned into an American flag.
Turns out, the beautiful piece was made of decommissioned fire hoses.
“When they didn’t pass the hose test, a couple of the guys repurposed them to decorate the station,” said Andrew Dykes, station caption.
Since Monroe Public Safety Director Keith Glass liked the artwork so much, Dykes says the guys made him one for his office.
