Mall shopper robbed by armed motorcyclist

Atlanta Police are searching for a masked robber behind a bizarre ambush at Lenox Square Mall, who drove a motorcycle into a parking structure and held up a shopper at gunpoint for his Rolex.

"I want people to be aware, this can happen at one of the busiest malls in Atlanta," said the victim, who wanted to be identified as Rick.

The victim tells FOX 5, around 11 a.m. Tuesday, he was alone as he parked on the third floor of the parking structure by Macy's and while on the phone; he said a motorcyclist sped in front of him and knocked him on his back.

"He showed me that he had a gun. It looked like it was a Glock... [He] asked me for my watch," he said, and tells FOX 5, he tried to take a picture of the robber with his cell phone; the robber then threatened him again with a gun.

Rick said, after the robber fled and Atlanta Police arrived, he was upset by what police discovered next: the police report stated that the officer "made contact with Lenox Mall Security and at this time there is no good video surveillance."

"They need more security-- and more security cameras," he said.

Police have not said whether they believe this robber could be connected to any other incidents.
