Atlanta church prays for Brussels at Easter event

ATLANTA - One local church has found a creative way to approach prayer this Easter weekend.

The Edgewood Church in northeast Atlanta held prayer stations. The separate areas included places where people were able to draw, meditate and write.

The church's pastor Nathan Dean told FOX 5 he came up with the concept four years ago. It's a tradition for the church on Good Friday.

"This is just one of the ways that we remember Christ and all that he has done for us," Dean said.

Many of the churchgoers also said they prayed for the victims of this week's terror attacks in Brussels. Judi Barrett wrote prayers on a card which she left at the church.

"I just pray that the love Jesus brought here to this earth will spread to the hearts of those who are causing the terror and fear," Barrett said.

The Edgewood Church will host its Easter service at 10 a.m. Sunday.
