‘Free cruise' robo calls could get you $900

- If you didn't win the lottery this week, here's another chance at some free money.

Here's one time one of those annoying robocalls may pay off.  If you got one about winning a cruise, you may be due for a settlement payout for having to listen to it.

Often the letdown with class-action settlements is that the money isn't worth the trouble. In this case, it is worth your time and trouble. You could get up to $900.

But first a little background. According to a class-action lawsuit, these calls were placed between 2009 and 2014. If you got a call from Resort Marketing Group offering a free cruise on Carnival, Royal Caribbean or Norwegian cruise lines, I'll let you know how to see if you're due some money.

This link will take you to a page with answers, but it can be a little confusing, so I'll walk you through this.

In the left-hand corner of the first page, click on "File a Claim."  It'll take you to another page where you will clock on the box that best applies to you. Maybe you have not received any notice about this case but want to see if you're number is part of the class-action case.  Finally, type in your number and you'll get an answer.

If your number isn't involved, I'm sorry. If it is, you'll be instructed about what to do. And you will be eligible for a $300 refund per call.  It's capped at $900. So it'll take two minutes out of your day to check this out. It's worth it.
