Gwinnett County and MARTA? It could soon be a reality

GWINNETT COUNTY, Ga. - Gwinnett County residents could soon be riding MARTA.

The Gwinnett County Board of Commissioners will be holding a special meeting on Wednesday, August 1 at 8 a.m. to discuss a contract between the county and the Metropolitan Atlanta Rapid Transit Authority.

The meeting will be held at the Auditorium located on the first floor of the Gwinnett County Justice & Administration Center, 75 Langley Drive, Lawrenceville, Georgia.

If the resolution passes, the contract would go up for a vote in November.

It is not immediately known how this will impact current transit in the county or commuter lines headed into Atlanta.
