A grand jury has indicted two Cherokee County high school students who police said planned to attack their school.

The indictment charges Victoria McCurley and Alfred Dupree, both 17, with six counts of conspiracy to commit murder, one count of conspiracy to commit arson, and one count of unlawful possession of a destructive device.

Investigators said the two planned to carry out a Columbine-style attack on Etowah High School.

Authorities arrested them after both the school district police department and the Cherokee County Sheriff's Office got a tip from the community.
