Flooding traps Forest Park residents in homes

Some Forest Park residents were temporally trapped in their homes overnight.

Heavy rains from the recent storms caused the Jester Creek to wash out parts of Windsor Drive near Old Dixie Road.

The blown-out culvert prevented people living in a couple of side streets from being able to get and out of their homes.

Crews came out in the middle of the night and put in a temporary patch, reopening enough of the road to give people access.

Crews also fixed the water line, restoring services to those impacted.
