Firefighters: 16 units destroyed in apartment fire

SPALDING COUNTY, Ga. - Firefighters in Spalding County spent Wednesday evening battling a massive apartment fire.

It started around 8:45 p.m. at the Northside Hills apartments, formerly the Northside Heights.

Firefighters said the blaze overtook 16 large units. Power was cut to the building to help firefighters battle the blaze.

No injuries were reported, but the building appears to be a total loss.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
