Beloved Former WAGA Personality, Virginia Gunn, Dies

She was a long-time and well-loved member of the FOX 5 Atlanta family. Virginia Gunn, who started a long and accomplished career in television as a weathercaster at WAGA has died.

Gunn was best known as the co-host of PM Magazine in the late 70s and 80s. She was one of WAGA's most popular personalities for years.

After her final show aired in Dec. 1982, she moved to St. Simons Island with her husband, author Bill Diehl. There, she became active in local politics.

Friends of Virginia Gunn told FOX 5 News that she passed away at her home Monday after a brief illness.
