Atlanta Caribbean Carnival celebrates 30 years

ATLANTA - One event brought Caribbean culture to Downtown Atlanta each year. The Atlanta Caribbean Carnival celebrated 30 years this weekend.

The festival kicked off with a parade Saturday afternoon. Caribbean bands and colorful costumes marched through the streets.

Artists from several Caribbean islands performed and vendors lined the streets with traditional Caribbean food and artwork.

Organizers hoped to promote a deeper appreciation for the Caribbean culture in Atlanta.

The festival ran through Sunday at Central Park.
