On November 25, College Park's Richard E. Tottress will reach as a major milestone as he turns 100 years old.

Tottress was born in Creek County, Oklahoma and is the oldest of eighteen children. He faced a number of challenges while he was growing up, but overcame them.

He studied Theology at Pacific Union College and went on to become an ordained minister in 1951.

In 1979, Tottress came to Atlanta, Georgia to serve as co-Pastor of Berean SDA church.

Two short years later, he earned his Masters degree and Ph.D. from Beverly Hills University.

Richard E. Tottress has worn several hats during his 99 years of life. From a pastor, educator, author, and radio broadcaster, but one thing he has always strived to do is help others.

In his retirement, he helps those less fortunate by providing food at the Berean food pantry to those in need.

Festivities for his 100th birthday are already underway and will last throughout November.
