Atlanta holds naturalization ceremony

Dozens of people living in Atlanta are now officially American citizens.

Thursday afternoon, 45 people took their oath of allegiance during a naturalization ceremony at Atlanta City Hall.

Many had family and friends there to cheer them on.

Also on hand, Mayor Keisha Lance Bottoms who spoke about the diversity of the metro Atlanta community and how that helps strengthen the city.

Officials said immigrants from 23 different countries were sworn in as citizens during Thursday's ceremony.
