Atlanta Braves pitcher joins 'Shop with a Cop' event

MARIETTA, Ga. (FOX 5 Atlanta) - An Atlanta Braves great shows up at a Shop with a Cop event in Marietta.

Braves pitcher Mike Foltynewicz surprised the kids and joined in on the fun.

The Cobb County Police Department and its partners took more than 30 children from the Calvary Children's Home to the target on Dallas Highway Friday night.

The kids were invited to buy items from their Christmas wish lists.

What they didn't know, was that they'd be joined by a baseball star who said he admires the officers who participate in events like these.
