"I just can't believe how much my sweet baby has endured in his short seven years, well the past five. He is one tough kid," mother Stacy Halstead said, sharing several baby photos of her son on Facebook. "He was the best baby! I wish I had a few more babies but that ship has sailed. I loved loved loved being pregnant!"

On October 29, 2012, Tripp suffered severe brain injuries when a tree limb fell on him outside his Winder, Georgia daycare center. He spent months at Children's Healthcare of Atlanta after the accident and continues to recover today.

Tripp was born on September 11, 2010. He spent his 7th birthday at home with his family since Irma caused his school to be canceled.

"Don't have any plans for today except to hang with the family, stay safe and be thankful that Tripp is here with me and getting better every day," Stacy said Monday morning.

Stacy said she was amazed the weather didn't affect her son in a negative way, stating Tripp was happy all day.
