David McCoy, a retired Air Force mechanic, knows a lot about cars. He's set up a garage next to McEachern Memorial United Methodist Church in Powder Springs, and it's developed over the years.

"When we first came in here fifteen years ago, this was all dirt. Now it's a full maintenance facility," David McCoy explained.

Two days a month, he and a team of 40 volunteers fix cars. For single mothers, cancer patients - anyone in need.

"The people who are struggling to put food on the table. Struggling to get back and forth to work. They need that help."

His car care team only asks owners to pay for the parts needed. Labor is free.

Both monetary donations and dependable used car donations keep the ministry's motor running.

Last year - we have a 180 people we've helped.  We gave back $68 thousand dollars to the community," McCoy detailed.
