The Y branch is hosting a clay shooting competition on Friday, May 5 at Garland Mountain Sporting Clays in Waleska.  Garland Mountain is a shotgun-only establishment open to the public, which offers both recreational and competitive clay shooting.  The Ed Isakson/Alpharetta Family YMCA competition will begin at 10 a.m. on Friday, with an included lunch and awards ceremony to honor the day’s best marks.  All proceeds from the competition will benefit the Y Afterschool program, which focuses on success in both academics and physical fitness for youth and teens.

Good Day Atlanta’s Paul Milliken decided to try his hand at some clay shooting, and spent the morning at Garland Mountain learning more about the upcoming competition.
