Monday night's home opener was a sell out for the Braves, and lines were incredibly long as more than 40,000 fans packed into SunTrust Park.

Fans hung out all day at the Battery to enjoy the festivities, and the fans say they're pretty confident the Braves are bringing home the World Series Trophy this season.

“I love my team,” said lifelong Braves fan Gail Mitchell. “I come to as many games as I can.”

“We actually play softball, so we're really into it,” said 10-year-old fan Ashton Taylor.

Fans say this season's team has that "it" factor to go all the way.

“You know what I love about them? They play as a team,” said Mitchell. “There are no heroes.”

Mitchell said she'll be looking out for one thing: “The shortstop, he’s my main squeeze,” said Mitchell. “Hey, Dansby Swanson!”

For other fans, it's not all about baseball, it’s the experience.

“You can’t see those special moments, you have to feel it,” said Taylor.

The fans said they hope the team feels their energy enough to bring home the win.

“I think they’re gonna go to the World Series, “ said Mitchell. “They’ve got the potential to do it.”
