Missing 16-year-old Atlanta boy found safe

Police in Atlanta said Friday that a missing 16-year-old boy considered to be a "critical missing child" has been found safe and reunited with his family.

The Atlanta Police Special Victim's Unit had issued an alert Thursday and said Jawon Singleton was reported missing by his father. Police said he was last seen in the 600 block of Willard Avenue SW.

Police describe Jawon as being 5-foot-5 and weighing about 130 pounds. He was last seen wearing blue shorts, a gray shirt, blue glasses, purple shoes, and possibly carrying a large orange duffle bag.

Anyone who sees him is asked to call 911 immediately. Anyone with information on his whereabouts is asked to call the APD Special Victims Unit at 404-546-4260.
