Police: Man arrested after failed bank robbery

Atlanta police say they've arrested a man who attempted to rob a bank on Friday afternoon.

The Atlanta Police Department received a call about a silent alarm from a Wells Fargo branch on Ralph David Abernathy Boulevard on Friday.

Officials said Quintarious Dubose, who was wearing "blue jeans, a gray shirt, a green Hawks hat, a napkin over his face, and black shoes," walked into the bank and approached a bank teller with a Walmart bag.

Dubose then gave the teller a pink piece of paper with $60,000 written on it and the bag and stood back "as if he was waiting for her to fill the bag with money," according to the police's statement.

The teller instead triggered the silent alarm and refused to give Dubose any money.

When leaving the bank an officer detained Dubose and found the paper, the bag, and a knife in his possession.

There were no injuries reported.
