ATHENS, Ga. - Officials from the University of Georgia's athletic department announced the start time for Saturday's Georgia vs. Middle Tennessee State football game has been moved up to 12 p.m.
The game had been scheduled to kickoff at 7:15 p.m. from Sanford Stadium.
According to UGA sports information director, Claude Felton, the decision was made in an effort to keep fans and staff safe because of the possible weather conditions on the east coast from Hurricane Florence.
Anyone planning to stay at home, can watch the game on ESPN News or live stream it on the ESPN app.
The University of Georgia said fans who wish to support disaster relief efforts through the Red Cross can text “REDCROSS’ to 90999 to donate $10 from your phone, call 1-800-RED CROSS, or go online to the Red Cross Hurricane Florance donations website.
