ATLANTA - The Georgia World Congress Center Authority says it will use a second, supplemental implosion to bring down what remains standing of the Georgia Dome.
The Dome's East Wall along with Gate B did not collapse during the initial implosion on November 20.
The second implosion is now set for Wednesday, December 20 at 1 a.m.
According to a release sent to FOX 5 News, traffic will be closed on Northside Drive near the Georgia Dome from 12:30 a.m. until 1:30 a.m. In addition, a 450-foot safety zone will be put around the perimeter of the Georgia Dome.
Traffic will be re-routed to Ivan Allen Boulevard and MLK Boulevard.
There will not be any areas set aside for the public to view the implosion.
