BUCKHEAD, Ga. - Troubling and hateful signs have been popping up in Buckhead, strategically placed next to political signs. Residents are outraged after one of the signs was planted right next to a school.
Residents on Northside drive couldn't help but see the sign placed right next to a couple of political signs. It was in clear view of Jackson Primary just feet away. The white sign with black print reads "We're RACIST Bloodsuckers #F--- the poor".
"A lot of the parents in line today were extremely upset about it," said neighbor Kathy Ghiradini.
The sign was next to a campaign sign for Brian Kemp and another one for Deborah Silcox. Both are Republicans.
There have been other signs over the past couple of weeks, including two just a few miles away. The Kemp Campaign responded says left-wing radicals are behind the signs. They released a statement saying "This is absolutely disgusting and just another reason to reject the unhinged left and elect Kemp for Governor".
When the homeowners first saw the sign they immediately tore it down, then changed their mind.
"We thought about it and we put it back up so people could see how hateful this is and what people are doing. It's wrong and it's offensive and I think people need to see what's going on," said the homeowner.
There are cameras in the area near the school. Residents are hoping it captured images of whoever put the sign there.
