Conyers Police hope you can help them find the thieves responsible for a copper heist totaling $118,000 after thieves knocked down walls to get into a warehouse and hauled off copper in a 25-foot U-Haul.

Police said surveillance captured the crew breaking into the Southern Pipe & Supply in the Conyers International Business Park. A video shows the U-Haul pulling up to the building, and leaving an hour-and-a-half later with the loot. Video also shows individuals getting in and out of other vehicles, and said a black sedan circling the area served as a lookout for the crew.

Police showed FOX 5 News photos of the damage to the building, as they used welding torches to cut a 4' x 8' hole through the warehouse, which housed two businesses, and knocked down another wall to get inside Southern Pipe & Supply.

"These gentlemen that broke into this business knew what they were looking for. They had plenty of help with them," said Captain Jackie Dunn, who believes the crew has pulled off similar heists before.

Police released surveillance of a man they call a person of interest driving a white Nissan Altima, and said they want to question him about who could be involved in the large theft.

Anyone with information is asked to contact Conyers Police regarding Case #18-054667. Tipsters can also contact Crime Stoppers for a reward of up to $2,000 at 404-577-TIPS.
