Police have found the two suspects wanted for being involved in a shootout and sending two Gainesville Police officers to the hospital with minor injuries.

Marcos Garcia Tovar, 20, and Alondra Rodriguez, 20, were found at a private residence in Gainesville early Sunday morning.

Police could not immediately inform FOX 5 News if the two officers who were transported to an area hospital actually sustained gunshot wounds.

Police said around 9:30 p.m. on Friday, someone at the Burger King along Athens Street at Martin Luther King, Jr. Blvd. called 911 about a man and woman in a physical fight, and the man dragging the woman down the road.

Police said they arrived at the scene and officers struggled with Tovar; police said Rodriguez brandished a weapon and Tovar pulled out a gun as well, and either one or both individuals fired at Gainesville officers. Two officers were injured and transported.

Both ran away from the scene.

Police said both individuals have had prior run-ins with law enforcement.
