Police said 18-year-old Keyondre Preston is armed and dangerous after Covington Police said he robbed and murdered a father of four.

The ordeal happened April 3, when officers said Preston along with two others entered into the Washington Street home of 40-year-old Shelvis Hillman and robbed the people inside. Preston shot Hillman in the abdomen, police said.

Earlier that day, officers said Preston fired a shot at father Stanley Hillman's dog in his nearby home. After son Shelvis confronted Preston about the reckless behavior, police said Preston went to the victim's home to commit the robbery and murder.

Preston is believed to be hiding in the Metro area. Anyone with information is asked to contact Crime Stoppers at 404-577-TIPS. He could be hiding out in Decatur at a previously-listed residence of the Efficiency Lodge off Flat Shoals Road, investigators said and may have a Springfield 9mm weapon on him.
