One person dead at DeKalb County motel

DEKALB COUNTY, Ga. - DeKalb County Police are investigating what they are calling a fight which ended with one person being killed at a hotel on Memorial Drive. 

Officer went to the United Inn and Suites at 4649 Memorial Drive around 7 a.m. Thursday morning.

Police say some sort of fight started outside of one of the motel rooms between two males.

The victim is described as a 35-year-old man. He was taken to the hospital where he later died. 

A DeKalb County police spokesperson says the suspect got on a MARTA bus and fled. He described as a black male, around 5 feet and 10 inches tall, with a beard. 

Police do not have anyone in custody.
