Burgers with Buck: Bobby's Burger Palace

He is the Celebrity Chef of Celebrity Chefs. Not only is Bobby Flay a restaurateur and reality television personality, but he is also now officially #BurgersWithBuck #156.

Why did it take so long for #BWB to recognize this American icon? Perhaps it was because it took Flay a little while to finally open up one of his Bobby’s Burger Palace restaurants in Atlanta.  As the saying goes, good things come to those who wait, and BBP #18 is now open for business on Concourse-B of the world’s busiest airport, Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International, his first airport location.

On the menu, the ATL Burger, so can you guess what #BWB had? You got it.

The ATL Burger starts with an 80/20 blend of certified Angus beef on a soft, sesame seed bun. The meat is simply seasoned with salt and pepper. From there, the ATL Burger is pretty simple topped with pimento cheese and fried pickles. For now, this burger is only on the menu at the ATL location (hence the name), but if it becomes popular it could pop up on the menu in Miami or New Jersey or one of the other BBP locations.

According to Flay, he trains his employees at BBP, just like he trains his chefs on the at his more high-end restaurants. He says it’s all about the fundamentals and technique’s of cooking, and he’s a stickler when it comes to searing in the juices and completely melting the cheese.

On a side note, #BWB did wash it down with a Pistachio Shake, and that gets a thumbs up as well.
