Georgia rep. Sharon Henderson charged with unemployment fraud

State Rep. Sharon Henderson of District 113 has been indicted on two counts of theft of government funds and 10 counts of making false statements. Prosecutors say she fraudulently collected $17,800 in pandemic unemployment benefits by falsely claiming she worked for Henry County Schools — despite not having worked there since 2018. She has pleaded not guilty and is expected in federal court soon.
