Police are searching for several carjackers who targeted a ride-sharing service driver early Wednesday morning in northwest Atlanta.

The victim said the men threatened him with a crowbar and put a gun in his face after pulling up in a maroon sedan on Joseph E. Lowery Boulevard. There were four men total, according to police.

The driver said he handed over his wallet and the keys to his white Hyundai Elantra. The men then took off in their maroon car as well as the victim's vehicle.

The victim wasn't hurt during the attack.

A recent uptick in carjackings in the area has prompted increased patrols.
