Clayton County Police searching for suspected serial rapist
CLAYTON COUNTY, Ga. - Authorities in Clayton County are searching for a suspected serial rapist.
According to the Clayton County Police Department, an unidentified man has been linked by DNA evidence to five rape cases between July 2015 and May 2017. In each case, the suspect sought African-American women who lived in apartment complexes or townhomes. In two cases, he was armed with a gun and knife.
Police said the women were raped in the following areas: Chaselake Drive, Roberts Drive, Southlake Cove Court, Brookview Drive, and Wynfield Drive.
Friday morning, Clayton County Police releases a sketch of the suspect. Two of the victims were able to give authorities enough details to compose the sketch.
Police are warning residents to remain alert and to make sure their homes are secure.
