Wet weather causing problems in metro Atlanta

Tuesday's wet weather is causing problems all over the metro Atlanta area.

A number of trees have fallen, some of them taking down power lines. This has caused pockets of outages, which is keeping crew busy as they try to restore service.

In Buckhead, a huge tree fell on top of the Peachtree Park apartment complex. No one was hurt, but the downed tree blocked the only way in and out of the complex.

In the Kirkwood neighborhood, a fallen tree is blocking Delano Drive at Hillcrest Avenue.

Isolated street flooding has also been reported.  At one point on Monday, crews had to close a couple of lanes on Georgia 400 near Windsor Parkway inside the Perimeter. Drivers are urged to leave extra time for their morning commute as the wet roads will likely slow down traffic.

Metro Atlanta remains under a Flash Flood Watch until 2 p.m. Wednesday as waves of rain continue to move through the area.
