Stretch of sunny, dry weather to begin on Thursday in Atlanta

- Remnants of Irma have pulled away from Georgia, but are still dragging some areas of light rain into our area Tuesday.

Stubborn clouds, cool temperatures, and occasional light rain showers will be the rule, but rainfall totals will be light (a few hundredths of an inch for many) and winds will not be troublesome. South-southeast winds will generally range from 5-15 miles per hour Tuesday afternoon.

By Wednesday, only stray showers are possible. Overall, the day will be mostly cloudy with temperatures rising into the upper 70s after a cool start in the upper 50s.

Thursday will begin a stretch of sunny, dry days with seasonably mild temperatures (lows in the 60s and highs in the low 80s).
