Soggy end to January, but what's next?

The last weekend of January will be damp, but temperatures will remain fairly mild.

Scattered showers will continue throughout your Sunday with rain decreasing west to east by Sunday night. 

Temperatures will hold in the 50s and then slowly cool into the 40s by Monday morning. 

A short-lived cold snap will arrive Tuesday morning with lows in the 20s and highs in the 40s, but by Wednesday afternoon we will be back in the 50s. 

As I continue to preach, please don't buy into the long-range computer models when it comes to winter weather and the "hope" for snow.

Once again, as we get closer to this Friday, the two major models are backing off the risk for snow in Georgia.

Yes, temperatures will have swings in the next two weeks, I see nothing drastic.
