ATLANTA (FOX 5 Atlanta) - Showers and thunderstorms will be on the increase Monday afternoon, and a few could become strong to severe as a storm system currently in Louisiana lifts northeastward.
The main threats will be damaging winds to 60 mph, as well as large hail.
A few tornadoes are possible but not likely.
The threat for severe weather will diminish during the evening hours on Monday.
Expect showers to linger into Tuesday, before clearing skies return for Wednesday and Thursday.
