ATLANTA - The FOX 5 Storm Team is tracking a continued soggy weather pattern that leaves most of the north Georgia area under a flash flood risk through parts of Wednesday.
A Flash Flood Watch remains in effect until 2 p.m. Wednesday for an additional 1"-3" of rain.
A big wave of steady rain and downpours affected north Georgia Tuesday morning, but tapered off to fewer showers and thundershowers by late afternoon and evening.
While flash flooding is the primary weather concern here, storms did damage in south Georgia Tuesday afternoon.
Another wave of scattered storms will move through on Wednesday. This rain is not expected to be as steady as Tuesday's rain; however, there is more instability. Therefore, the risk of a couple of severe storms is a bit higher for Wednesday. Gusty winds, hail, or even an isolated tornado cannot be ruled out during the day Wednesday.
