UGA releases Georgia signee D'Antne Demery after Athens arrest

The University of Georgia has released signee D’Antne Demery from his National Letter of Intent, according to a statement from head coach Kirby Smart on Sunday.

The move follows Demery’s arrest Saturday night which includes charges of simple battery and criminal trespass-damaged property in downtown Athens, the statement said.

The Brunswick, Ga., native signed with UGA in February and was scheduled to report to the University in June to begin classes.
