East Hall Vikings Win Team of the Week Honors

GAINESVILLE, Ga. - The East Hall Vikings have been flying under radar for a few years now, finishing right around .500 every season since 2011, but this year head coach Bryan Gray and his team are turning heads in region 7-AAA. With only one region loss so far, the Vikings locked up home field advantage in the playoffs with a huge win over Fannin County last week. They'll visit Banks County in the regular season finale on Friday.

Coach Gray told our Cody Chaffins that this week's voting frenzy on High5sports.com that helped the Vikings win their first-ever Team of the Week Trophy, has also helped the fan base rally around his team. "The kids are all talking about it on the bus...it's a great thing. We love to be recognized and it's a fantastic opportunity."

The 5-4 Vikings will host a Thursday morning pep rally shown live on Good Day Atlanta. Paul Milliken and the GDA team will be on site handing out some High 5 Sports swag while the team picks up the Hand Trophy for all of Atlanta to see.
