Good Day's Buck Lanford sits down with UGA Coach Kirby Smart

University of Georgia head football coach Kirby Smart has enjoyed the honeymoon period in Athens and beyond, but he knows that once his 18th ranked Bulldogs take the field against 22nd ranked North Carolina in the Chick-fil-A Kickoff Game on Saturday evening at the Georgia Dome, the real life relationship begins.

The first time head coach won't be easing into his career as the Top Dawg with a cupcake game, Between the Hedges, against a lesser opponent. No, his coming out party is on the national stage, against a top-25 opponent coming off of an 11-and-3 season.

Officially the Georgia Dome is listed as a neutral site, but with its proximity to Athens and the vast number of UGA alums and just general Bulldogs fans in Atlanta, it will likely feel like a home away from home for the beginning of the Coach Smart era.

Buck Lanford spent a few minutes with Coach Smart to discuss among other things, the game, the opponent, the new era, and of course, the QB competition.
