DAYTONA, Fla. (FOX 5 Atlanta) - NASCAR driver David Ragan will be gearing up for his Daytona 500.
The 33-year-old former Georgia resident who now lives in North Carolina is spending Speed Week with his wife and two girls.
He is coming off one of the best years on the track. Last year, he crashed at Daytona but took multiple top 25 finishes in the races to follow.
Ragan hopes that consistency will continue this year and keep him moving in the right direction.
He will take to the track Saturday for practice and then qualifying on Sunday.
FOX 5 Sports' Cody Chaffins is on assignment in Daytona, Florida for coverage of Speed Week and the 61st running of the Daytona 500 which airs next Sunday on FOX.
