Georgia running back injured in practice

Georgia Bulldogs football coach Kirby Smart announced Saturday that running back Zamir White injured his left knee in practice Saturday.

According to Smart, White was covering a punt when the injury occurred.

"Zamir was on punt coverage and it was a non-contact injury,” said Smart. “We don’t know anything yet and he is getting an MRI done.”

UPDATE: According to Dawgs247, White has torn his ACL in his left knee.

White tore his ACL in his right knee during his senior season in high school. White was ranked as a 5-star running back by 247 Sports out of Scotland County in North Carolina.
