Coach Kirby Smart's message to a brave 8-year-old boy

Georgia Bulldogs Head Coach Kirby Smart knows a fighter when he sees one. Take for instance 8-year-old Andrew Fambrough.

Andrew’s hard fight began earlier this year when he started to get severe headaches and experience extreme nausea. After nearly a dozen visits to various doctors, he was rushed into emergency surgery at Children's of Alabama. While under, Andrew suffered a mini stroke, but neurosurgeons believe he will full recover.

Coach Smart this week sent Andrew a signed Georgia Bulldogs football which reads “To Andrew, Get well & keep fight!! Go Dawgs”.

Andrew has now been home for about three weeks and was able to spend Father's Day with his dad, UAB band director and Georgia alum Gene Fambrough. Gene said he is thankful to Coach Smart's gesture and the support of the Bulldogs during this time.

While Andrew recovers, the family is working to pay for the life-saving surgery. They set up an online account. Anyone who would like to donate can go to gofundme.com/26znsvzw.
