Breaking Down the Storylines of the Georgia-Georgia Southern Game

The Georgia Bulldogs have made a habit of winning ugly games this year. The latest was a 23-17 win in overtime against Georgia Southern, a game the Bulldogs were favored to win by 13 points.

It took a 25-yard run by Sony Michel to clinch the win and move the Bulldogs to 8-3 on the season. The Eagles dropped to 7-3.

Besides the game itself, there were a couple of interesting and inspirational items that also happened Saturday between the hedges.

First, it was the return of Devon Gales. The Southern University football player suffered a spinal injury two months ago in a game against Georgia. He has been undergoing extensive rehabilitation and was on the field Saturday to greet the Bulldogs players.

Also, it was the beginning of a new era in Athens as Uga X was introduced. His name is "Que" and he is now 1-0.

The Bulldogs will try and officially win the battle of state bragging rights November 28th in Atlanta when they taking on a Georgia Tech team decimated by injuries.
