The Atlanta Braves announced Friday night that they've signed veteran infielder Adeiny Hechavarría to a one-year major league contract for the rest of the season.

The corresponding roster move was designating RHP Wes Parsons for assignment. The Braves also recalled RHP Bryse Wilson from Triple-A Gwinnett and optioned Johan Camargo and Adam Duvall to the Stripers.

The 30-year-old played in 60 games for the Mets in 2019, batting .204 in 142 at-bats. His eight-year career has landed him in Toronto, Miami, Tampa Bay, Pittsburgh and both the Mets and Yankees in New York.

Hechavarría has played shortstop in 797 games, 34 at second base and 30 games at third.
