KISSIMMEE, Fla. (FOX 5 Atlanta) - Well, who needs spring training?
Freddie Freeman eased through his first game of the spring with a 2-run shot off the Washington Nationals Monday.
Obviously, it was his first homer of the spring.
And more than spring flowers, that is as good as sign as any that a happy Braves spring is just around the corner.
He hit it right off the scoreboard picture of his face in right center!
Also, he made a nice defensive stop. Not a bad day for the 2018 Gold Glove Winner.
After the home run, Freddie caught his breath enough to say he felt good!
FOX 5 Sports Director Ken Rodriguez reporting from Atlanta and FOX 5's Justin Felder on special assignment in Florida.
